Conservatory

The Magnify Conservatory is the launchpad to success for the eager and passionate dancer. Conservatory students gain the support of our Faculty for not only dance training, but also coaching and consultation in nutrition, cross training and emotional support through the rigors of pre-professional dance. Students are challenged to push their limits and strive for excellence within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Annual auditions are held in the spring for the following school year.

Classes Included Based On Age & Level Placement:

Ballet Level 1 - Level 5, Pointe or Pre-Pointe, Variations

Our ballet faculty members have collective decades of experience and share the belief that ballet technique should be taught with a foundation in correct mechanics and placement, building on the basics to incorporate beauty, strength and performance. 

As dancers advance, personal artistry, musicality and presentation are strongly emphasized, with athleticism being every bit as important to the ballet experience as elegance and grace.

Contemporary

Contemporary training is essential to today’s well-rounded pre-professional dancer. With a great emphasis on floor work as well as freedom of the torso and body, Contemporary dance explores movement in a unique manner. We incorporate the study of weight shifting, partnering and exploration of the dance space as our dancers are pushed outside their comfort zone in the best of ways, including a strong focus on improvisation. Versatility is one of the most important goals a student in this generation needs to conquer in order to become a professional dancer. 

Five Point Fit

At Magnify, we approach each dancer as an athlete. It takes a certain amount of grit, vitality, education, and determination for dancers to withstand the demands placed on their bodies. Our Five Point Fit cross training class provides students with the appropriate tools to maintain an injury-free dancer physique, not only for those interested in professional dance, but also as a broader practice that incorporates the health and strength of their bodies throughout their lifelong journey.

Jazz

Jazz showcases each dancer’s individual style through kicks, leaps and turns in an energetic, powerful and fun atmosphere. Jazz funk, lyrical and other styles are emphasized for versatility.

Cecchetti

Cecchetti training is a rigorous syllabus which helps develop all of the qualities essential to the dancer: balance, poise, strength, elevation, elasticity, and more. It is classic in its purity and clear-cut style, focusing on placement, musicality and movement quality.
