The Magnify Conservatory is the launchpad to success for the eager and passionate dancer. Conservatory students gain the support of our Faculty for not only dance training, but also coaching and consultation in nutrition, cross training and emotional support through the rigors of pre-professional dance. Students are challenged to push their limits and strive for excellence within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Five Point Fit
"Dream ~ Desire ~ Determination ~ Dedication ~ Discipline"
Ballet Level 1 - Level 5, Technique and Pointe or Pre-Pointe
Our ballet faculty members have collective decades of experience and share the belief that ballet technique should be taught with a foundation in correct mechanics and placement, building on the basics to incorporate beauty, strength and performance.
As dancers advance, personal artistry, musicality and presentation are strongly emphasized, with athleticism being every bit as important to the ballet experience as elegance and grace
Cecchetti training is a rigorous method which pays careful attention to the
laws of anatomy. It develops all of the qualities essential to the dancer:
balance, poise, strength, elevation, elasticity, “ballon”, etc. It is classic
in its purity and clear-cut style. In younger children, Cecchetti technique will
develop poise and musicality while striving to instill the love of and dedication
to dance. Lower student grades will develop proper placement of torso,
hips, and legs without exceeding anatomical limitations. The coordination
of arms and head are developed with a concentration on smooth transitions
throughout the exercises. As dancers grow, a more mature sense of musicality
and quality of movement is emphasized as students develop strength and
stability in the demonstration of the pirouettes and grand allegro. Suppleness
and smooth graceful movements are developed in these levels along with the
coordination of head, arms, legs, and body.
Contemporary training is essential to today’s well-rounded pre-professional dancer. With a great emphasis on floor work as well as freedom of the torso and body, Contemporary dance explores movement in a unique manner. We incorporate the study of weight shifting, partnering and exploration of the dance space. Our Contemporary dancers are pushed outside their comfort zone in the best of ways, including a strong focus on improvisation. Dancers are exposed to what's exciting and happening in the contemporary dance world through videos, field trips to performances, and learning repertory in class. Becoming a versatile dancer is one of the most important goals a dancer in this generation needs to conquer in order to become a professional dancer.
Jazz showcases each dancer’s individual style. Energetic, powerful and fun, it uses hips and syncopation, fancy footwork, and for the more advanced dancer, kicks, leaps and turns. In our upper levels, lyrical and contemporary dance are also incorporated, with a great emphasis on floor work as well as the freedom of the torso and body. All our jazz/contemporary styles build from classical ballet technique, and are crucial to the training of today’s dancer. Jazz will particularly appeal to those students wishing to express themselves fully and individually while dancing.
In addition to structured dance classes, it is imperative that time is taken to fully explain and equip dancers with the knowledge and understanding to create the positions, movements, and sequences asked of them. As teachers, this requires us to slow down and take the time to see each dancer as an individual with their own personal needs, and make sure the dancers are focused and progressing at a pace that is right for them. This will help them avoid injury and allow each dancer to improve greatly in a short amount of time. The idea of our Technique Integration class is to move at an appropriate pace, work on an exercise, and then relate it specifically to dance technique and choreography. Often there is a gap between dance conditioning/cross training class and how the dancers actually use that knowledge in their classwork and preparation for performances. We work to bridge that gap and allow each dancer the time to understand how to approach their technique in an effective way. Taught by one or two (co-teaching) Faculty, this custom-built program is designed from a collaboration of highly certified dance conditioning professionals from California and New Mexico. Dancers must bring a thera-band.
Five Point Fit
Our belief is that each dancer must be looked at as an athlete. It takes a certain amount of grit, vitality, education, and determination for dancers to withstand the demands placed on their body. Dancers are expected to make their dancing look effortless, all while meeting the expectations of new choreographers and directors in the professional world. Our Five Point Fit cross training class provides them with the appropriate tools to maintain an injury-free dancer physique. Our vision is also not just that of the professional dancer, but a common desire for our dancers to have a broader view that incorporates the health and strength of their bodies throughout their lifelong journey. Five Point Fit cross training classes are designed to give the dancers the strength, endurance, and power needed in order to reach their maximum potential and dance to their fullest. Dancers are led through a progression of exercises that will in turn, allow them to feel strong, empowered, and more like a versatile athlete. This offers the dancers a new way to look at fitness in general that we hope will leave a lasting impression they can take with them to college, their future gym, or their future dance career! Dancers must wear supportive, athletic shoes (i.e. not Converse)
